Re-Education was a personal project I did to become more familiar with Source 2's logic system and asset pipeline. The level you see in these screenshots was built using a combination of Hammer mesh, custom props and stock Half-Life Alyx materials and props. Although I used many Valve assets, the construction of the level took over 8 months and that includes all of the level design, lighting, decking, scripting, logic, and testing. This area is the courtyard. The location serves two purposes. The first is that it acts as a bit of respite after the first reviver fight, allowing the player some downtime to absorb the environment while listening to some dialogue. The second is that it acts as a combat arena upon returning from the belltower.
